I said it again tonight to an incoherent--with rage, with fatigue--child: Use your words. The sort of thing I used to hear parents say and roll my eyes. How many such expressions do I use on a daily basis? How many more will I use before my children, rolling their eyes at me, head off to college where they'll stay up all night drinking bad wine and complaining about me?
So tonight I am turning that command on myself: Use your words, lest you, too, become (again, and perhaps permanently) a hot, sticky, incoherent mess of rage and fatigue. Use 'em or lose 'em.
I'm not sure yet whether this is going to be a mommy blog or just a frustrated writer blog. A combination, I guess. Fun! Join me if you dare.
